Trans Umbilical Breast Augmentation
The TUBA procedure is performed through a small incision made inside the navel, with instruments passed beneath the skin to a location behind the breast tissue.
Advantages of the TUBA procedure over the more traditional breast incisions include no scars on the breasts and a faster, more comfortable recovery period. A very limited number of surgeons nationwide have been trained to perform this procedure. Dr. Haas will be happy to discuss this option with you in greater detail during your initial consultation.

POST-OPERATIVE CARE

The recovery period for the TUBA procedure is short, generally lasting one to two days. Following surgery, the patient will have a bandage around her chest and abdomen for one to two days. After this she may wear a bra or not depending on her personal preference. Most women find that wearing a bra for the first week following surgery provides support and lessens discomfort. Many women prefer a jogbra or tube top. The patient is also given instructions for massaging the breasts. The massages are important in maintaining the pocket and thus minimizing the possibility of capsular contracture. Massages should be done at least two or three times during the day-the more frequently, the better. Patients may return to routine activities as soon as they feel up to it. However, strenuous activity such as athletics or heavy lifting should be put off for two to three weeks following the surgery.

Fee Range: $5800
