Liposuction |
| This technique removes unwanted
fat deposits from specific areas of the body with
very little scarring. A hollow tube attached to a
vacuum pressure unit is used to suction fat from legs,
buttocks, abdomen, back, arms, face and neck. |

Forms of liposuction
|
| Tumescent |
|
Tumescent liposuction is a second generation liposuction using thin canulas to remove unwanted fat. When compared to first generation liposuction, this more advanced method allows smaller incisions to be made resulting in minute scars and shorter recovery periods.
|
| Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction (UAL) |
|
This form of liposuction uses ultrasonic waves to break down fatty deposits. Higher volumes of fat can be removed with small amounts of blood loss and bruising. Further advantages include greater skin retraction and tightening.
|
| External Ultrasonic Assisted Liposculpting |
| Just arriving to our office for Spring
of 1999 is the recently FDA approved External Ultrasonic
Liposuction machine. This is the latest innovation in
liposculpting. With this innovation Dr. Haas now has
a greater ability for precise contouring of specific
body parts.
The latest innovation in liposuction is External
Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction. While thin canulas
are still inserted to remove fatty deposits, the ultrasonic
waves melt fat from outside the body. This advancement
allows more precise sculpting and contouring to occur
with shorter heal times. The result of this innovation
are higher volumes of cell removal with greater ability
to contour and sculpt the body. Greater retraction
and short heal times are also a plus. |
